Zangari Family Recipes

Every family has it’s own special cooking styles and recipes.

Why not share one of your family's favorites?!

As long as I can remember, I have always loved to cook (and eat!), and I watched my mother and father, then my Nanna and my Nannu, cooking all these extra special family dishes. I remember my Nannu used to tell me it took him three days to make sauce for spaghetti, and I just could not understand why he would waste so much time making it when he could just go down to the store and buy it...I was really naive -- at least until I tried the difference one day in what his sauce was to what the store bought stuff tasted like! It was a real eye opener for me! So, from that day on, I have always paid attention to not just WHAT my family was cooking, but HOW they cooked it. I didn't get nearly as many recipes down as I would have liked, but I have a few that I would be happy to share with others out there...
